Starter Journal Swap / Tea Journal

From the group, "Your turn in my art journal" on swapbot.com.

" It is time to start another traveling journal, with the same or a new theme. Please dont send a journal that you started before as most of us in the group have already worked on this journal. This does not apply if you are new to the group. But please send a journal that does belong to.

This journal will be returned to you so on the inside cover you will need your contact info: address and email and swapbot nickname.

Also on this cover or adjoining page, you will want to give instruction on your theme.

You have 3 weeks to get the journal ready and about 10 days to mail

For this swap you will mail a journal and you will also receive a journal.

Future swaps you will treat the journal like a"safe tag". You will post that you are ready to pass the journal on and then you will create a swap to pass the journal on. This is the safest way to make sure that the journals dont get lost and we can create a paper trail.

Please go to the group forum and Create a STICKY thread with your nickname and theme in the title. Then each person who works on your journal should go to the group and write a comment that they have the journal. Also in the forum thread is the correct place to post your TRACKING information.

Using tracking for mailing is required so that you can prove you mailed and prove it was received. There are many ways to secure tracking. It is free with first class postage on Paypal, and 23 cents if you use media mail. Often the PO will list your tracking info on your receipt, so save your receipt."

So I give you my traveling tea journal, Tea's I Like; A Journal of Teas.

While drinking my coffee....

From the group "Your turn in my art journal" on swap-bot.com.

"This swap is limited to to 5-7 players. I dont want to get too big.

If you know a coffee drinker who might like this invite them to join our group.

Basically in FEB 2015 you will start a Coffee journal. You will mail off the journal by the 21st of FEB In the morning or any other time of day, While you are drinking your coffee, Do some journaling.

Drink a cup of coffee, at home, at a coffee shop or a restaurant or at work. Write in your journal about your coffee, but also write about the news on tv, work, the conversation you can over hear next to you, the sunrise or the scenery, Your to do list or other things that you can think of while drinking your coffee.

Save the coffee sleeve, or receipt, or the coffee bag or, the Keurig lid, you name it. But you do need to have some medium inside besides just your word. Images or printouts, or rubber stamps, or cancelled postage stamps will work too. finger Paint the page with coffee grounds and let it dry, Of course you would brush of the grounds and not mail off grounds with your journal. Mold is all I keep thinking of.

You must drink at least 3 cups of coffee in this time period and journal at least three times.

You may also do other pages about coffee, art or collage or zentangles, website links, articles quotes, about coffee. This is not required but is allowed."

Monthly Journal - Febuary

From swapbot this is my Monthly Journal Swap - Febuary.

"This swap is for a 5 inch by 7 inch (12.7cm x 17.78cm) journal page, it is senders choice and I will be doing these monthly. If you are inspired to create your journal page to a theme of the month, for example; hearts and Valentine whatnots in February, then by all means go for it but please do keep it appropriate. Most people do not appreciate pages that are  religious, political, sexual or gory, so please refrain from those.

Draw, paint, color, write, doodle, zentangle, collage, whatever. Just make sure it is 5 inches by 7 inches and that you put your best efforts in it. Also, so that it can stand any kind of binding, please use a sturdy paper, at least cardstock strength. For example, if you want use book pages for your background, then so that its sturdy cut a Twinkie box to the right size and glue them to that.

Because this is sender's choice you can make it an art page or leave room for writing. I do encourage contacting your partner to find their preferences. If anyone has a binding preferences, then add it in the comments after you sign up for the swap.  This is sender's choice, so there is no guarantee that you'll get your choice binding but having it available makes it more likely. On the back of your page include the name of the swap and your name.

Also, include a note for your partner with the date, your name, location and the name of the swap. If you would like, add a little bit about the inspiration for your page. The note should not be any bigger than 5 by 7 and written on one side only. The note is its own separate page and does not need to be on sturdy paper, copy paper, note paper is just fine.

So... one page, one note, one partner. You will have 3 weeks to finish the page once partners are assigned.

Who can or cannot  participate:  no "one" or unexplained "three" ratings within the last 6 months. I will ban at my discretion. If you are new and have no ratings at all, feel free to sign up.

Rate a 5 if you receive a 5 inch by 7 inch page and a note. Rate a 5, even if you don't like it!! You are NOT rating on the quality of the page or on whether or not you like it. Since this is a "senders choice" swap, your partner is not required to read your profile first.

I am not online on a daily basis but if you have any questions, please pm me and I will get back to you as soon as I can."

Because I know others would love to see what everyone is making / sending I have created this page for everyone to post a link to their journal page.
