Monthly Projects

In an attempt to create some good, creative habits, here are some projects that I will be working on monthly.

~ Crocheting A Square ~
This is a project that I have signed with friends I know who are crocheters and every... wait, wait, *copy and paste*
"This group exists because everyone likes cozy blankets, and ones with personality are even better.

Each month, you will be assigned a random group member to send a crocheted granny square. When you have enough, put them together to make your one of a kind blanket!"
Nuts to me, I'll be posting my monthly 8x8' squares here.

~ Artist Interview ~
Because it is always good to surround yourself with other creative people, start with making a list of 10 of the most creative people you know (in my case 12 people) and try to have at least half the list be people you know personally... and then from there see if these creative people will share there secrets with you. The above is my plan for conducting and having Artist Interviews every month.

~ Sketch Fest ~
While I already participate with this one on a semi-regular basis already.... well I shall continue it... and continue to encourage others to participate.

Happy 2013

To start of the year, a project....

This isn't mine but it is the idea of a new jar I'm going to put together.

Ornaments 2012

A gift from a friend. It's awesome because it's from the best coffee/tea shop (that's corporate, anyway). And a place that I spend a good amount of time at, enjoying the company of my friends.

Mad Hatter Ornament. Added a few embellishments but was made by following a tutorial that is no longer found on the web. :( Sorry.

Adventures In San Fransico and Berkely

Spending the day in San Fransisco and going to Roadworks was a fun adventure. Bought some prints, collected some free stuff and just enjoyed a beautiful day out.

And then in Berkley I picked this up at a bookstore. It has been great for a jump start for my creative projects.

Sketch Fest # 29

October, 2012
This is Sketch Fest;

Prompt: Draw something using markers
 "Sketch Fest is a 48 hour creative jam session with artists across the world, brought to you by Ellen Million Graphics. Our audience and fellow artists give us prompts that can be single words, questions, phrases, lyrics, links, collections, creatures, characters or concepts, and we sketch whatever catches our fancy. The only rule? Sketches can only be worked on for one hour. "

While 48 hours is a good amount of time for sketching and an hour works well for starting a concept work but ever have that feeling that some of the prompts are just too good to leave alone? So when that 48 hours is up, wouldn't it be nice to keep working on some of the prompts? Below are the prompts that I suggested for Sketch Fest # 29;

~Pagan Lolita During Summer's End~
~Nude Descending A Staircase~
~People Live Without Their Hearts~
~The Pumpkin King~
~Remember, Remember The Fifth of November~
